I am not that patriotic kind of girl but i have done my part to participate in serving the country

first up


the year was 2003 and i was in form 4 when my school was one of the selected one to stand by the roadside and greet the Sultan when he passes by on his way to Chinese New Year open house held at the open field near Hilton hotel holding a bunga mangga thing ..

funny/ embarrassing moment : was walking in heels during rehearsal at night and did not notice a drain hole not cover and zuup!
my right foot went in.
i had to let of my heels and let them pick it up for me .. haha

mean moment : during the early days when we gathered in the field, suddenly i felt a thud on my back and i turned to see a bitten pear on the grass.
i looked around for the culprit .. i mean, why the hell the person throw a pear on me for?
it was not an accident as the pear hit hard on my back. my classmates were pissed for me too and we suspected it was a rival school and my classies comforted me by saying they threw it on me cause i'm pretty fair and they're jealous. =P

memorable moment : after the Sultan drove by, we walked and followed behind his vehicle to go back to the big field and later that night, we were treated with Andy Lau's mini concert.
heck, i don't even know his songs but we were screaming that Andy was damn handsome..
eh he was le that night! i was not near the stage but quite near also le .. like 2 km from him and we were handsomely rewarded with breath taking firework as our roof .. it was so beautiful!

total time consumed : if i'm not mistaken, half month of rehearsal .. (yes, by walking in line carrying bunga manggar) ..

second round

going for National Service was not an option for me .. it's either that or jail ..

i cannot imagine being jailed for not some 3 months military training, right?

it was end of 2005 till march 2006

i was sent all the way to Kelantan le .. all the way across the peninsular

sad moment : of course when it's time to part with family, i cried a bucket of tears .. i mean, i never been away from home le !
then the moment to come home from camp, i cried 3 buckets of tears le!

tragic moment : when my group raft .. haih .. went and cannot paddle .. haih .. and then people cry .. haih .. dun wanna say de .. black spot in my memory

amusing moment : when i see other girls so afraid of the cutie leeches .. i got bitten by one!! wee !

memorable moment: everyone i spend time with who has been there for me the entire time when i needed them.. my fellow trainees and trainers who are so patient with me

valentine moment : i distribute red color sweet to my friends .. :)

funny moment : the time when i had to do night duty with usharani and we 'flirt' and chat with the boys thru walkie talkie

touching moment : i hugged a guy at the end of my journey o.O

reality moment : when i stayed 3 days at my foster family home .. and ride my first motorbike ..

boys moment : the adorable guys in my camp who always make me laugh .. step shoe game, splash water moment

proud moment : in the beginning , during our opening ceremony under the hot sun, a lot of people fainted but at the closing ceremony, no one fainted! proves that national service indirectly had toughen us up !

third time around



ok, this was quite recent .. like last year

i joined a performance that just took my own breath away :)

for the country's 50th year of independence !

busy moment : when we're rehearsing of course .. every weekend no break one ok!

saturday :- 4 pm till 11 pm
sunday :- 8 am till 4 pm

hard moment : through light rain we rehears in colourful raincoats .. at first it was like " huh!! rain wor " *grumble grumble* but other performers were looking .. so damn proud to run rehearsal for them to see! syok syok rehearsing, the rain got worse and we kena stop -.-''


amusing moment : conversing and listening in cantonese .. i wonder how i survived ..

proud moment : when our hard training came out successfully and everything went beautifully! i overheard these other group performers telling her friend

"eh , dun go yet .. wait for the last performance .. it's the best"

*smiles proudly*

touching moment : how everyone treated us so nicely, i really feel the love until i could feel there's a huge difference when i stepped out of rehearsal ..

and how everyone worked hard together to put this piece of performance together

waa .. i look back .. so gan tong at the moment .. *sobz*

eh, at least i performed in Stadium Merdeka .. so at least i can say i performed where Jay did .. even though i didn't go see him !
