Grandparents 50th anniversary

this is like the so outdated entry ever ..but around three weeks back , i went back to Penang on a weekend .. so random right why suddenly go Penang?

it's my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary!

not easy le to come this far .. 50 years of living together ..

actually originally the event was suppose to be in September ..

but my grandma has cancer and scared cannot make it in time :(

and no pics of my relatives la .. privacy ma ..

so we set off on Saturday morning ..

that is waddy , my bear whom follow me wherever i go ..

the misty cloudy look .. on the way there

reached and rested for a few hours before whizzing off to the big event of the night ..!

we stayed at my uncle's house .. kinda feels weird going back to Penang without my other uncle

seems like the whole restaurant was booked for the event and 50 tables were booked ..

the entrance looked darn pink ... and i like !

i should have took that thing home and put it in front of my room door ..

after that , i chucked my camera Cheeze into the car because not lady like le ..

carry such a big camera ..

and i always hear friends saying they attend wedding / ceremonies where uncle and auntie all shriek karaoke on the front stage ..

now i understand .. my auntie's voice was piercing my ear drums =.='

some appetizers .. etc etc .. then shark fin soup ..

i din take much .. as usual i keep visualizing the poor shark swimming in the ocean ..

*shudder*

half way , i begged my dad to take Cheeze because i wanna take pix ..

boney dead fish which i didn't eat .. dun like fish .. smelly!!

guests .. a lot and lots of guests .. 3/4 i don't even know

veggie .. yerr .. why brocolli... :(

emcee of the evening .. not my family people

haha .. from afar , i thought this was boxes of butter ..

i don't eat shrimp le !!

for some reason i thought inside here was duck .. i dunno why ..

looks like duck to me !

but no, it's yam .. and it taste funny .. i know ..

i had my brother's leftovers ..

grandkids are suppose to wear plastic flowers ..

got slide show some more ... showing my grandparents for the past 50 years ..

then my parents were suppose to gather in front and sing and cut cake with my grandparents ..

the usual stuff ..

my grandpa told the guest ..

" if you're satiesfied with the food, show me your toothpick and pick your teeth"

so cute my grandpa .. red face, white hair and all ..

i like this dish a lot hehe .. sago seed with vanilla ice cream ..

then on Sunday morning, come back to civilization de .. damn fast right?

in less than 24 hours only ..

that ends my post for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary ..

i am going to shower , have a cup of Tom Yam maggi while i watch " How I met your mother" and then do work ..

the holidays are so near .. i could almost smell the freedom ..
