i have been delaying this post for a while now .. so here goes ..
for the past month .. Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) held Malam Muhibbah for two weekends, 5 performances starting from 15 of June .. therefore this event is called 6.15
and in case you are wondering, yes i am a member of the organisation ..
6.15 was held in our very own Cheras Bunka Kaikan and it is held to "commemorate the 24th Anniversary of SGM's Formation, 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of SGM Culture Centre in Cheras and 20th Anniversary of the first visit of Mr.Daisaku Ikeda, President of Soka Gakkai International to Malaysia."
--quoted Sim Ai .. can la .. we do kosen rufu together :P
since i'm not one of the performers this time , i decided to head to head down anyways to give support to family and friends alike ..
7 pm ++ , setting of the choir band ..
at 8 pm ++ the show begins .. with the choir band ..
two of my cousins are in the choir band .. not sure which one .. there were several ..
the marching band .. i think with their trumpets and flag twirlers
lotsa dancing .. so energetic ..
pink singing choir group ..
in a different lighting ..
the chinese, indian and malay dance group
their outfits are simple and sexy
juniors swinging their hats around ..
and flags .. so adorable la these little girls
fine dancing ...
and to top off the whole night was the gymnastic performance
before you visualize guys and girls wearing leotards and waving ribbons, doing splits .. it's not like that
my brother and cousin was part of the gym group
building tower .. 4 level the highest
tower built
coming down from tower
in formation ..
in line with little towers at the back
the lights went out for a sec but the fan formation and tower were still on
gymnastic are consisted of spirited young men ..
i couldn't fit the whole thing into the camera from where i was sitting
rising of the youth
every good show must come to an end ..
finale dancing ..
hehe , they look like spiders here with their arms liddat
look at the 1000 performers ..
and the supporting crew .. the ones who worked behind the scene to make things happen
i was not aware it came out in the papers
but it sure did!
photos were stolen from sim ai and poh wei's blog
some of the photos are mine ..
i would have snapped more but i was using lousy camera ..
as a spectator , i would say i wish to be down on the stage there ..
i wanna feel the adreline rush again, the excitement and fear just like during last year's p50 performance ..
i think this is the first time i'm actually stating i'm a member of Soka Gakkai .. and i'm not one who forces my religion on others
i had to make a choice before .. lose a guy or lose my religion .. i lost the guy ..
anyways ..
soka gakkai malaysia have taken part in joining several performances ..
SGM is affiliated to Soka Gakkai International, which has members in over 190 countries and territories.
SGM has participated in numerous large-scale national and international events, of which most memorable was the 1998 Commonwealth Games Kuala Lumpur's opening ceremony, where 5,000 SGM members presented the stunning human graphics display, winning world wide praises.
just like this ..
and many many more .. those graphics were made my flipping cards btw .. there are people sitting behind there .. flipping colour cards accordingly ..
my dad took part .. i was still 11 back then ..
then there was the CitraWarna which took place in 2005, i think .. which i did not join
and the one which happened last year .. Malaysia Independence Day project 50 2007 where the performance consist of 1000 ++ performancers .. including dancing , human formation and gym boys
so who's up to join 2010 performance in Bukit Jalil stadium?
